Breckenridge is located in the county of Summit, in the middle of the stunning Rocky Mountains. The town is based between peak 7 and 10 of the Ten Mile Range and is surrounded by rivers, peaks and valleys.

Breckenridge was founded in 1859 by a small group of prospectors.  The town’s Gold Rush brought settlers seek ing their fortune from all around the world. While some found gold, each adventurer discovered the glory of the Ten Mile Range and the bounty of its beautiful landscape.

Breckenridge is a lively, family friendly town, with plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. Breckenridge offers historic structures, shops, restaurants, and activities that allows the town tocontinuously attract families from all over the world.
